Aurum Alba or White Gold

Aurum Alba or White Gold
Ancient alchemists and hermetic philosophers have often used the mythological stories of legendary heroes or Demi - gods to illustrate the universal alchemical process. Egyptians referred to it as the marriage of Isis and Osiris and the birth of their child Horus as the fruit of their divine union and consecration.
The Greeks used almost all the divinities of their Pantheon to explain and hide at the same time the chemical path which leads to the absolute.
The Israelites used the epic of Moses who separated the red sea into two parts to reach the Promised Land, and this to teach the great mystery of divine creation. The Christians followed in the same trend by writing about the life, death and resurrection of their master Jesus of Nazareth and the mysterious worship of the black virgin. All this in a manner to reveal and conceal at the same time the hermetic alchemical science. Wherever we look east or west, all ancient and evolved civilizations have taught and left for posterity a sacred and secret hieroglyphic language which transmits a certain esoteric knowledge destined to those who are ready and mature enough to put it into practice. More recently, by following the same tradition, the medieval Templars have left us an important heritage of knowledge in their cathedrals; yet all of this natural science remains hidden under a thick cover of religious belief, superstitions, myths, symbols, epics and hieroglyphs. For these reasons, it is a very difficult science to understand, if not simply just impossible without the help of a sure guide.
In the ancient as well as recent Hindu tradition, adepts who had a direct experience of the divinity could transmit the highest knowledge using the simplest language untainted by limited emotional religious upsurge. They spoke of ether, air, fire, water and earth, of hot and cold, of dry and humid, of solid, liquid or vaporous. Through their experience they understood how man was the small but final reproduction or contraction of the great cosmos, and they called him the microcosm or small world, because whatever exists outside is reflected within man in a concealed manner in his subtle sidereal body. The rays of all stars, of the sun and the moon are present within us by adaptation in the form of living biological organs. The law of God interacts on all things, in all kingdoms, by following a corresponding and repetitive pattern of creation. Through grace and the practice of yoga, meditation and contemplation, these cosmic forces can be awakened from potential to actual and initiate the dawn of knowledge. These cosmic energies have been described by sages as pairs of opposites such as: male and female, Shiva and Shakti, hot and cold, sun and moon, gold and silver, earth and water, etc,… This dual divine energy is said to form the foundation of the spiritual body omnipresent in all living and sentient beings; and seers have called Her the great kundalini. It is represented as seven wheels or “chakras” aligned from the coccyx to the top of the head and which are pierced and strung by three luminous channels glowing with a spiritual fluid. The central channel is called the channel of the star and corresponds to universal mercury, the right one is the channel of the sun and corresponds to gold and the heart and the left one is the channel of the moon which corresponds to silver and the brain.
The alchemical path is therefore aiming at creating from a universal matter called “sal metallorum” two universal essences or quintessences which are a manifestation of the hermetic sun and hermetic moon, one red, one white, one gold seed and one silver seed. These two hermetic luminaries are the entire support and the center of our life and breath. As we breathe, we absorb this celestial fire which comes to us as polarized light or luminous matter carried by the air, there it enters us to become food for our soul and body. It is this luminous matter which supplies us continuously with heat and warmth all along the life. In the alchemical process at the laboratory, the first luminary which is extracted from the universal chaotic waters is always the male principle, the red sun or the gold yeast. It rules the heart and the veinous system.
When this alchemical sun body or adamic earth is mortified with the waters of contrition, it dies, dissolves, putrefies and is then resurrected into a snow white glorious luminous body. This white body is the universal female or the hermetic moon of the philosophers and is sublimated from its sun. Its virtues are the opposite of the sun: cool or cold, very calming, quieting refreshing. It relaxes, reduces excessive thinking, and helps in focusing, removing stress and anxiety. It brings about peace, balance, harmony and a deep spiritual inner feeling. It has the capacity to penetrate very deep into the human astral and physical body. Alchemists call it their white gold. It is obtained by the grace of God and it is ruled by the moon.
