Canonical Spagyric Quintessence Of Paracelsus

Two circulators are needed, for instance two pelicans, in which we will put the alcohol (philosophical Mercury) in the first and the essential oil (philosophical Sulphur) in the second. If only one circulator is available it is necessary to split the procedure first with the alcohol and than with the essential oil. The salts previously obtained (philosophical Salt) should be divided in two parts: one part inside the circulator containing philosophical Mercury and the other inside with the philosophical Sulfur. After the two circulators are tightly closed, place them above a source of heat and let circulate during one philosophical month. The source of heat must be constant and the circulation temperature not to high; the produced fire shouldn't be higher than the first grade or quite similar to the most famous "heat of the hen that broods." In addition of the purification of the philosophical Mercury and the philosophical Sulphur, this circulation gives a shape memory to the Mercury, the Sulphur and the Salt, to make possible to keep this shape during any transformation. Today thanks to the science and technology, new materials are produced as nickel-titanium or copper, that are able to recall their shapes. This memory or ability to remember its shape, is achieved through gradual warming and cooling that we can be compared with the circulation. Heating the substance causes its dilatation and therefore an expansion, which happens also in the circulation when the solution contained on the bottom of the carboy, due to the heating, evaporates and rises to the top. Cooling causes a contraction of the same, as also happens in the circulation, when the solution, which had risen through evaporation at the top of the carboy, thicken the walls of the upper carboy, then condense and falls back on the bottom to begin a new cycle. At the end of one philosophical month of circulation, we distill the philosophical Mercury, or alcohol, and placeit in an airtight carboy, then share the philosophical Sulfur, or essential oil, which circulating in salts, will show a more intense color in another airtight carboy. Now the philosophical Mercury and philosophical Sulfurarepurified. The process to purify the Salt is explained below.
Take the two parts of salt coming from the alcohol and the essential oil, assemble them, let dry and place them in a melting pot and than all in a mittenat 500-600°C for a period between 24 to 48 hours. The purifying fire will remove all impurities that they had absorbed fromthephilosophical Mercury and fromthe philosophical Sulfur. Philosophically this purification is also called crucifixion. Now we have the third purified principle, the philosophical Salt.
The three philosophical principles (philosophical Mercury, philosophical Sulfur and philosophical Salt) need to be put together to respect the etymology of the word Spagyria. Split and purify the pricinples was difficult, but assemble them will be even more. A second key is needed to obtain the real Canonical Spagyric Quintessence of Paracelsus. Assemble philosophical Mercury and philosophical Sulfur will not be difficult, but adding the Salt will be more difficult.
It must be clear that a Canonical Spagyric Quintessence of Paracelsusaswellas all the other Spagyric preparations must contain the three philosophical principles or:

- philosophical Mercury: purified alcohol obtained 100% from plant where we want to achieve the quintessence
- philosophical Sulfur: the 20% of purified essential oil of the plant
- Fixed philosophical Salt: purified plant salt.
